Pursuing its efforts to promote openness and aiming at the penetration of the unique traditional products of the Sikyonian land into the international market, the Association of Kiato participated in the International Exhibition Sial Paris 2018 held in Paris from 21 to 25 October 2018.
Having as an asset in its commercial quiver the most delicious small-seed bean of Greece with the protected designation “Beans Vanilies of Feneos” and the unique expression of local cultivars Roditis and Agiorgitiko sealed by the selected labels “KIATO WINES”, the Association of Kiato participated in the group of the sixteen Peloponnese businesses that offered their products to the kiosk of the Public Limited Company Anonymous Development Enterprise OTA Peloponnese S.A.; thus our administrative region was once again able to make a dynamic appearance in the biggest European hall and meeting point of top commercial leaders in the food and beverage sector.
Sial Paris is one of the most important International Food and Beverage Exhibitions in the world and is organised every two years in Paris Nord Villepinte Exhibition Centre focusing on cooking and local cuisine. It is a milestone event in the food and beverage industry, ranging from the industry of ingredients to that of equipment and final products; it is also a think-tank and a window of visibility concerning innovation of new food
products. As in previous exhibitions, again this year, Sial Paris 2018 hosted the unique “Sial Innovation” event, which was developed in collaboration with XTC World Innovation, and is an excellent springboard for communication for exhibitors wishing to display new products, as well as a unique, global innovation observatory for food.
On the first day of the exhibition, in a specially designed “taste area”, cooking lessons and wine-tasting was held with Peloponnese products by the Michelin star winner Chef Andreas Mavromatis. The particular importance of Sial Paris 2018 exhibition was also confirmed by numbers,
since 7,020 companies from over 109 countries participated in 21 exhibition sectors and visitors exceeded 160,000 in number.
